Literacy courses for adults

Illiteracy is more widespread than one might think. Immigrants in particular, who hope to find a new home in Switzerland, have often not had the opportunity to attend school. Others have been more fortunate and have learnt to read and write, but are not familiar with our writing system.

Our teachers have the necessary experience and patience to enable participants to acquire sufficient knowledge of the German language and take part in further language courses.

Literacy courses are available in two formats:

semi-intensive: We recommend this format to people who have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time and need more time to process what they have learnt.
intensive: This format is suitable for learners who are used to school and are able to concentrate for longer periods of time.

Target group: Adults who do not know the Latin alphabet or do not know it well enough.

Group size: from 4 to 8 participants.

Courses details:

Semi-intensive: 8 lessons per week (twice a week or 8 lessons on a Saturday with a break)

Intensive: 16 lessons per week (four times a week)

Your investment:

Semi-intensive: CHF 2880 per module + CHF 60 learning materials   

Intensive: 3200 CHF per module + 60 CHF learning materials  

German courses for beginners

Are you thinking about learning German? Would you like to communicate with your international clients or business partners in their mother tongue? Or do you want to converse with locals in Switzerland, Germany or Austria? Then why not attend one of our beginners’ German courses over lunchtime or in the evening, once a week for 90 minutes? Your German will quickly improve in a small group of 3 to 6 students. We welcome you to bring in your wishes for topics that are useful and important to you.
